Imagine needing lifesaving emergency care in the most critical of circumstances – this is where the North West Air Ambulance Charity comes in.
We cover 8 million people and an expansive region, from Carlisle to Crewe. But we need to raise over £18 million every year to be there for patients in an emergency.
To do that, we’ve built a passionate team where the patient is at the heart of everything we do.
We are ‘One Crew’ working together collaboratively, supporting one another, and taking ownership of our roles.
We’re innovative and don’t stand still, adapting to new trends and technology.
At NWAA, you can be proud of where you work, knowing every day your contribution makes a life-changing difference to someone in need.
“Working for the North West Air Ambulance Charity isn’t just a job, it’s something really special. Every day, I get to be part of a team that’s literally saving lives. But it’s not just about the work; it’s the people too. The team here are passionate and supportive, we all believe in what we do, and that makes coming to work every day so rewarding.”
Rachel Foy
PR Officer
“It’s definitely a source of pride working for NWAA. The work of the charity and the impact we have on the people of the North West is wonderful to be a part of. And it’s a great place to work too with friendly colleagues and a real sense of supportive effort.”

Corporate Partnership Officer

The patient is at the heart of everything we do. We are all NWAA ambassadors, trusted to make a difference. We are compassionate and caring for everyone in the community.

We are always looking for a better way, always learning and improving. We embrace change and adapt easily, putting forward new ideas and encouraging innovation.

We do what we say we will, never blame others when things go wrong and take action without being asked. We reflect on our own performance, are clear about priorities, and add value.

We share the same vision and understand how important everyone’s contribution is. We listen, support and help each other. We are open, honest, and encourage healthy challenge.

“Because of the amazing team, we’ve been able to appreciate small moments in life that we used to take for granted – a trip to the cinema, a walk around Ingleton Falls, a family holiday, and so many more.”
Karen, Rob’s Wife

“Thanks to the crew that day, my wife still has a husband, and my children still have a father.”
Paul, NWAA Patient

“If it weren’t for NWAA, there’s a very high possibility that Nicola wouldn’t be here now. She wouldn’t be able to watch Emily grow up, and Emily wouldn’t have a mummy.”
