Frequently asked questions

How do the raffles work?
Tickets will be sent out in physical mailings twice a year. To request to be included in the next mailing, please contact us online or call us on 0800 587 4570. You can now also join our raffle online through our website.

When are the draws made?
The draws for our Raffle take place in the summer and winter each year. The actual draw and closing dates will be published on your tickets at the time.

What are the prizes?
A typical raffle has a top prize of at least £7,500! Runner up prizes are typically: 1 x £1000, 1 x £250, 1 x £100, 1 x £75, 1 x £50, 30 x £10. Prizes can differ depending on the raffle, so please check before entering.

Eligible entries received by us by the deadline given will automatically be entered into an early bird draw to win a £200 M&S voucher. No donation necessary to enter.

How much is a ticket?
Tickets cost £1 and equate to one chance within the draw.

How do I pay?
We accept cash, cheque, and debit card payment for our Raffle tickets and donations. With physical tickets, please fill out the payment slip that you’ll receive along with your tickets. Make sure you return your payment slip, cash/cheque (if this is your chosen method of payment) and ticket stubs in the freepost envelope included.

Can I round my payment up with a donation?
Yes! If you wish to make a donation as well as payment for your tickets, simply fill out the payment slip that will come with your tickets and let us know how much you are donating.

Can I gift aid my payment to the Raffle?
You cannot gift aid your Raffle payment as it is part of a lottery. However, if you have made a donation along with payment for your tickets then that additional amount can be gift aided. Simply tick the Gift Aid selection on the payment slip before you send it back to us.

How many entries can I have?
We restrict entries to 50 tickets per person to encourage responsible gambling.

Do the proceeds of the Raffle go to NWAA?
In 2023, the Raffle passed 29.5% of income back to the Charity. This amount is after expenses such as the administration costs (marketing, staff etc) and prizes.

How will I know if I am a winner?
All results are posted on our website on the day of the draw. We will always endeavour to call all our lucky winners to let them know, and if we do not have a number, a letter confirming your win will be sent to you.

How do I cancel?
If you wish to stop taking part in our raffle, you can contact us via telephone, email or in writing.

You must be aged 18 years or over from 2nd January 2024 and live in Great Britain to participate in our Raffle.

For more information on how our raffle works, please read our terms and conditions here.

Our raffles were previously held three times a year, from April 2022 onwards, we made the decision to reduce our raffle draws to twice a year instead.
