Why we need you to fundraise!

We rely entirely on public donations to deliver critical pre-hospital care to people in life-threatening emergencies. Each year we need to raise over £18 million and we couldn’t do it without you.

We’re asking each person who registered to raise £40, or more if you can, and help us be there for future patients.

If you raise over £100, you’ll be entered into an exclusive prize draw to be in with a chance to win a £100 Amazon Voucher. Prize draw terms and conditions can be viewed here.

By walking with us, you’ll be supporting people in your community

Because of you, we can be there for people when they need us most. From Carlisle to Crewe, we can provide hospital-level interventions, like blood transfusions, at the scene.

It’s hard to imagine yourself as a patient or a loved one who might need our service, but things can, and do, go wrong in an instant.

Last year we were called to 3,170 life-threatening emergencies. We provided blood transfusions to 96 patients and placed 168 patients in medically induced comas. None of this is possible without you.

Your support doesn’t just impact patients, but also the people who love them.

Thanks to you, families have time to make more memories. And sometimes, the time to say goodbye. With your help, we can give loved ones precious moments they might not otherwise have.

We need your support

We rely solely on your support to continue bringing critical care to people across the North West and your registration fee helps cover the cost of the event.

Fundraising on top of a registration fee allows us to continue offering care and support to those in need. We’re asking everyone to raise at least £40 per person, however the sky is the limit! You can create your fundraiser on Enthuse.

Raise £100 or more to be entered into an exclusive prize draw to be in with a chance of winning a £100 Amazon Voucher!

FAQs

Our Moonlight Mission Walk will be taking place on Saturday 4th October between 5:30pm – 9pm in Worden Park, Leyland, Preston, PR25 3DH.

Your Moonlight Mission Walk event pack will be sent out to you within 10 working days after registering for the event. Your NWAA t-shirt and bib will be included in the pack, so you can wear your t-shirt with pride while doing any training walks. Make sure you take pictures of your training, this can help boost your fundraising, and share them on your socials, don’t forget to tag us in!

Anyone who registers the week of the walk will be able to collect their event pack, t-shirt, and bib on the day.

Of course! All pooches are encouraged to join us as we walk the 2.5k or 5k route in Worden Park but must be kept on a lead.

There are 200 free parking spaces available to Worden Park. Please note this is open to all members of the public so spaces could be limited and operate on a first come first serve basis.

The walk is taking place in October and we are in the North West, so the weather can be unpredictable.

  • Supportive walking shoes
  • Waterproof clothing—ideally in bright, high-visibility colours like neon or even glow-in-the-dark. The more you stand out, the better

We’d also advise bringing:

  • Water bottle to stay hydrated
  • Fully charged mobile phone – share the walk with the people who’ve sponsored you on the night and encourage more donations!

Registration for the event is through Enthuse and can be done until 11:59pm on the 3rd October. If places are still available after this time, you will be able to register on the day.

Anyone who registers in the week running up to the event or on the day will collected their t-shirt and bib at the event.
