A unique experience you won’t forget!

Back by popular demand, this is an incredible event you don’t want to miss. There’s no better way to see the stunning beauty of Morecambe Bay then taking on the Cross Bay Walk. You’ll begin the crossing in Arnside, accompanied by an experienced and knowledgeable guide. You’ll navigate the ever changing flats and channels of the bay, while taking in the incredible scenery. Walkers have crossed these sands since the 1500’s with a royally appointed guide.

The route itself is 6.5 – 7.5 miles and can take 3 to 4 hours, so it’s best to pack some sandwiches! This isn’t a slow stroll and walkers should be able to keep to a leisurely pace.

How to get involved

Secure your place today on eventbrite. Places cost £5 (plus 98p booking fee)*, you can even bring the dog along for £1 which is payable on the day. Your registration fee covers the cost of the walk but your fundraising is essential for us to continue flying to save lives. We need to raise over £9.5 million each year. As we receive NO government or NHS funding, we rely solely on you.

You can set up your fundraising page on JustGiving as soon as you’ve registered and start your fundraising journey! If you would like to use sponsorship forms you can get in touch with us by emailing crossbaywalk@nwairambulance.org.uk.

How we’ll support you

As a member of Team NWAA, we promise to give you lots of support and encouragement along the way. Our events team will be there to support you on all aspects of your fundraising. If you have any questions or would like further information get in touch with us by emailing crossbaywalk@nwairambulance.org.uk.
