From 20th March 2026, our Lift off Lotto prize structure is changing, giving you more chances to win every Friday.

Race to the Base

The Race to the Base starts now!

Last year was our busiest ever, and demand continues to rise.

Emergency calls are increasing. Missions are increasing. The pressure on our service is increasing.

Now, we’re issuing a direct challenge to Community Clubs across the region.

Your challenge, should you choose to accept it…

Throughout May, we’re challenging Community Clubs to go head-to-head in a mission-critical race. The first three clubs to cross the line win a visit to our operational base to see helicopters, cars and crews that they’ve help fund.

The race will start on the 1st of May and finish on the 31st.

Terms and conditions apply.

How the race works

Throughout April you can register your club

All community clubs can take part!

From Friday, 1st of May, you’ll fundraise independently across the whole month

The target to aim for is our average mission cost, which is £4,500

Who will win?

  • Fastest club to raise £4,500 to fund a mission
  • Club that fundraisers the highest amount
  • Club with the most creative fundraising idea

Ready to accept the challenge?

If your club is ready to:

  • Take on a challenge
  • Support a lifesaving charity
  • Help fund critical missions
  • Shout about your fundraising

Then it’s time to register!

What you’ll get

The Race to the Base winners will receive:

  • An exclusive visit to one of our air ambulance bases
  • The chance to see the helicopter*
  • Insight into the advanced pre-hospital care you’ve helped fund
  • A framed ‘Mission Funded’ certificate
  • A post on our social media channel

*All of our aircraft are operational 365 days a year, we cannot guarantee that the helicopters will be at the base when you visit. We’re called out on average 12 times a day, meaning they may be on the lifesaving mission you’ve helped fund during your visit.

Every club that takes part, including the winners, will receive:

  • A ‘Mission Funded’ certificate
  • A thank-you video from our crew
  • An impact update once funding is allocated

Every club that enters will help us be there for people across the North West.
