The support we receive from individuals, trusts, and foundations is absolutely vital for us to continue flying to save lives and stay ahead of the curve with new innovations in the medical sector.
It’s never been more important for us to continue establishing new connections and partnerships to ensure we can always be there for patients who need us most. Donations awarded to us from grants enable us to equip our crews with specialist medical kit, lifesaving technology, and more. In recent years, trust donations have enabled us to purchase blood warmers, defibrillators for our retail stores, and helped us to remain operational and save lives during the Covid-19 pandemic.
We’re incredibly lucky to partner with a fantastic community of individuals, foundations, and charitable trusts who share our vision of bringing the hospital to the patient.
After hearing the news about the inter-hospital transfer service we launched in 2020, the Westminster Foundation kindly donated a fantastic £4,500! Kate Brown, Director of the Westminster Foundation, commented: “The Westminster Foundation is really pleased to support the North West Air Ambulance Charity’s inter-hospital transfer service, which provided a lifeline to many during these challenging times. We would like to thank the charity for adapting so quickly to provide this additional frontline support to people in the North West, in partnership with the ambulance service, while still managing to provide the usual enhanced pre-hospital care to other patients in need.”

Karl suffered from life-threatening injuries after he was involved in a serious motorbike collision. Without the care our crew provided on scene, it’s likely Karl wouldn’t have survived.
