Support volunteer (tin collections)

Play your part and make a difference

Static collection tins are located across the North West in local businesses and are a significant sustainable source of funds for the charity.  We are looking for volunteers to assist with collecting tins from shops and businesses. The role is flexible based on how large an area you would like to cover.

What you’ll get up to

  • Liaising with businesses to find out if they need a tin emptying
  • Planning a suitable route for collecting, emptying, and replacing full tins
  • Following NWAA cash handling procedures
  • Visiting local businesses to replace the collection tin so we can continue collecting vital funds

 

What we need from you

  • A friendly, engaging attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Energy and enthusiasm
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of your local area is an advantage
  • The ability to drive and access to a car is an advantage
