Run through one of the world’s most enchanting cities at the Venice Marathon!
This is a marathon route unlike any other. Starting in the mainland town of Stra, in front of the magnificent Villa Pisani, you’ll follow the beautiful Riviera del Brenta canal before passing through Mestre and making your way towards the historic heart of Venice. The spectacular four-kilometre Ponte della Libertà bridge leads you into the city, where an unforgettable final stretch awaits.
As you approach the finish, you’ll cross Venice’s famous bridges using specially adapted wooden ramps before running through the iconic Piazza San Marco. With the city’s extraordinary architecture and waterways surrounding you, every kilometre offers something to remember. Your journey ends at Riva Sette Martiri, making this a truly memorable way to experience Venice on foot.
Whether you’re taking on your first marathon or adding an extraordinary destination to your running achievements, the Venice Marathon promises a challenge filled with history, scenery and a unique sense of occasion.

Every pound you raise will help North West Air Ambulance Charity continue delivering lifesaving emergency pre-hospital care across the North West, supporting our specialist crews and keeping our helicopters and critical care vehicles operational.

How to Get Involved
Imagine crossing the finish line in the heart of Venice, knowing your marathon journey has helped make a real difference. Join #TeamNWAA for the Venice Marathon on Sunday 24th October 2027 and take on an unforgettable challenge for a lifesaving cause.
To apply for your charity place, simply complete our registration form and pay the £45 registration fee. You’ll also be committing to a minimum fundraising target of £750.
Once you’re registered, our fundraising team will be here to support you from the early stages of your preparations right through to race day. Whether you’re looking for fundraising inspiration, help getting your page started or encouragement along the way, we’ll be with you throughout your journey.
Your fundraising will help North West Air Ambulance Charity provide vital emergency pre-hospital care across the North West, supporting our specialist crews as they deliver lifesaving care when it matters most.
