Thank you to the crew at the charity for saving my life, with their quick thinking and performance – in what must have been a very high-pressure situation. I was written off all the way but the decisions they made have given me more time with my family and children.
About the Liverpool Half Marathon
The Liverpool Half Marathon is one of the longest established road races in the region and attracts thousands of runners every year. Starting and finishing on Liverpool’s famous waterfront, the course takes runners through the heart of the city and past some of its most iconic landmarks. Check out the route here!
For 2027, the race is expected to take place on either Sunday 14 March 2027 or Sunday 21 March 2027. The final race date will be confirmed once the Premier League fixtures are released, as the route can be affected by Everton FC home matches. We will update this page as soon as the official race date is confirmed.
Why run the Liverpool Half Marathon for charity?
The North West Air Ambulance Charity provides advanced pre-hospital care to the most critically ill and injured patients across the North West. Our teams of consultant-level doctors and critical care paramedics bring hospital-level treatment directly to patients at the scene of an incident.
We operate three helicopters and four critical care cars covering 5,500 square miles and a population of more than 8 million people.
Unlike many emergency services, NWAA receives no government or NHS funding. Every mission we attend is funded entirely by supporters and fundraisers. By running the Liverpool Half Marathon for NWAA, you are helping ensure we can continue delivering critical care when every second matters.
