It is one of England’s ten oldest golf clubs, ranking 67th in the UK & Ireland in the Golf World Top 100. Renowned for its natural, challenging links, it has hosted numerous prestigious tournaments, including several final qualifying events for The Open, the 2024 Jacques Léglise Trophy, and multiple Rose Ladies Series events.
On Thursday, 24th September 2026, West Lancashire Golf Club will welcome players for an exclusive charity golf day in support of the North West Air Ambulance Charity. This special event offers a rare opportunity to play on one of the UK’s top courses while helping to raise vital funds to save lives across the North West.
The day will feature a shotgun start, promising an unforgettable golfing experience for a great cause.
This charity golf event helps raise vital funds for the North West Air Ambulance Charity, which provides advanced prehospital emergency care to critically ill and injured patients across the region.
With no government funding, the service relies entirely on public support and fundraising events like this to keep its helicopters flying and critical care teams operational.

In addition, you could register your team to sponsor a hole. Your sponsorship will allow you to advertise your company to over 80 golfers on the day. There are 16 holes available for sponsorship on the course which will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. Hole sponsorship includes all of the above plus:
- Display your company’s promotional banners on the hole of your choice
- Reserved space on the tee will allow you to have a branded gazebo and staff members to engage with participants. You can also run a game or hand out treats
- Recognition as an official sponsor in the official programme
- Recognition as a hole sponsor across our established social media platforms
