Brew for the Crew

It’s time to pop the kettle on and host your own par-tea. We’re asking you to host your own event between the 13th – 19th May to celebrate our 25th Birthday!

We rely on your support and fundraising so our crew can continue saving lives.

Your brew can help save livesTwo male crew members, in red flight suits, sitting on the helicopter, looking at each other laughing. Both have a party hat on and are holding over sized mugs.

Did you know? Each year we need to raise over £12 million to fund our service, you could buy around 3,428,571 cups of tea with that!

For the crew to bring the hospital to the patient we need your support. By hosting your own event and raising money we can continue to be there, across the North West, for when you need us most.

Our official Brew for the Crew week is the 13th – 19th May to celebrate our 25th Birthday, but you can host your event throughout the year. Get together with friends, family or colleagues and start brewing!

We are so grateful for the amazing support we receive from the people of the North West. It thanks to fundraising events like Brew for the Crew, and the supporters that get involved, that we can be there for patients and provide lifesaving and life changing care. Your brew really can make a difference!

Make your event tea-riffic!

Make sure to shout about your event! Our ready-made materials are here to help. You could send out personal invites to your guests or share the event on social media. Putting up posters at work or at your venue is a great way to let people know about your Brew for the Crew.

We’ve put together a quiz to keep your guests entertained and test their knowledge on the North West Air Ambulance Charity. Why not also ask them to take part in a sweepstake? Or challenge your guests to a bake off?

Make sure you have a way for people to donate on the day. You could have jars or tubs on the tables or set up an online fundraising page sharing the details with your guests. Why not have a suggested donation of £2 to take part in the quiz or sweepstake? You could also ask for a donation to enter the bake off competition or hold a raffle.

Don’t forget Gift Aid – if your guests complete a Gift Aid form we can claim an extra 25% of their donation from the government at no cost to them!

Use our cut out bunting to decorate your venue for your par-tea! You can use our posters to add in details of the day, how your guests can donate and how they can get involved.

Collect the money you’ve raised and pay it in. You can do this online, over the phone or by bank transfer. If guests completed Gift Aid forms make sure to send these back to us too.

Don’t forget to tell your guest how much you raised. You can do this by using one of our posters or personal thank you cards.

And make sure you let everybody know how it went by sharing your Brew for the Crew story on social media. We’d love to see your photo’s too! Tag us in your social media posts or send them to fundraising@nwairambulance.org.uk.

If you need any help or support with your Brew for the Crew you can contact our Fundraising Team by calling 0800 587 4570 or email fundraising@nwairambulance.org.uk.

Lancashire tea and Nwaa

“Here at Lancashire Tea, we have a simple philosophy that a good brew is always a good idea. Linking up with the folks at the North West Air Ambulance and supporting the fantastic ‘brew for the crew’ initiative just makes sense given our own love for the wider communi-tea. We look forward to playing our own small part in helping to shine a light on the wonderful work the team at NWAA do on a daily basis supporting people across the region.”
