Glasdon Joins the Corporate Crew

Published: 14th March 2024

This exclusive members club and business group plays an integral role in raising awareness and vital funds for the North West Air Ambulance Charity (NWAA).

The North West Air Ambulance Charity provides enhanced pre-hospital care for a wide range of medical situations, including accidental injuries and serious emergencies. They are dedicated to bringing the hospital to the patient and transporting patients to the most suitable hospital to ensure the best possible outcomes.

To sustain its lifesaving efforts year-round, the charity relies on dependable fundraising and widespread awareness. An effective way to do so is through the Corporate Crew – a partnership initiative that benefits both the charity and its members. By joining, members can contribute towards saving lives in the North West through fundraising, donations and spreading awareness about the charity’s vital services.

Thanks to The DJ Sidebottom Glasdon Charitable Programme, Glasdon has become a new member of the Corporate Crew and will be directly supporting the NWAA specialist team. This support helps bring the hospital to patients in need and ultimately saves lives all year round.

Joy Kavanagh, Group Director and Charitable Programme Manager for Glasdon said: “The Corporate Crew membership presented a fantastic opportunity for Glasdon to support the invaluable work of North West Air Ambulance Charity while generating new opportunities for collaboration. We are delighted to join the crew and we look forward to meeting partners and businesses who share our ethos.”

The North West Air Ambulance Charity’s helicopters and critical care vehicles operate 365 days a year. Their highly skilled doctors and critical care paramedics on board provide enhanced pre-hospital care and hospital transfers to patients across the entire Northwest region each year – an area covering 5,500 square miles and over 8 million people.

Since its launch in 1999, the North West Air Ambulance Charity has been called to over 31,000 missions across the region, an average of around eight times a day.

Just as the many critically ill and injured patients would not have survived without the service the charity provides; the North West Air Ambulance Charity would not be here without the support of its community of fundraisers and partners.
